The rafting season in Rishikesh runs September to November and March to June. During monsoon (July–August), rafting is prohibited due to dangerous water levels.

Grade: II–III • Duration: 1.5 hours • Best for families and first-timers. Smooth sections with gentle rapids including Roller Coaster and Golf Course.

Grade: III–IV • Duration: 2.5 hours • The most popular stretch passing rapids like Golf Course, Club House, Three Blind Mice and Return to Sender. Most rafting camps are based here.
Marine Drive to Rishikesh (26 km) – Advanced
Grade: IV • Duration: 4–5 hours • Longer stretch with more challenging rapids. Ideal for those with prior rafting experience.

Grade: IV–V • Duration: Full day • The most thrilling stretch with rapids like Roller Coaster, Golf Course, and the famous Grade V rapid — "The Wall". For experienced rafters only.
