Overview
Yamunotri packages range from a simple 1N/2D weekend to a full Char Dham Yatra. The 4N/5D Do Dham (Yamunotri + Gangotri) is the most popular standalone option — both shrines are in the same district (Uttarkashi), open on the same day (Akshaya Tritiya), and combine naturally in a single loop from Haridwar.

Travel Tips
- Arrange horse/palanquin within the package: Ask your tour operator to pre-arrange horse booking at Janki Chatti. Some operators have tie-ups with horse handlers and can secure a horse at the fixed government rate without the morning queue scramble. Worth asking when booking.
- September Do Dham packages are best value: Same route, same quality, 10–20% cheaper than May. Yamunotri trail quieter, Gangotri less crowded, accommodation available without weeks of advance booking. September is the sweet spot for the Do Dham.
Accommodation in Packages
- Budget: GMVN properties or basic private hotels. Clean, functional.
- Standard: GMVN deluxe or better private hotels. Attached bathroom, hot water.
- Homestay option: We offer packages with Barkot-area family homestay for the Yamunotri night. Add ₹300–₹600/person. See homestays.
